The Beginning

A parent's problem

It started the way a lot of ideas do — at the kitchen table. Two kids, stuck on homework, and a parent who happened to be a software engineer. The existing tools were either too rigid or gave answers outright. Neither built understanding.

So we built something different: a tutor that guides kids toward answers instead of handing them over. One that rewards effort, adapts to each learner, and gives parents visibility without requiring them to hover.

Growth

From one family to many

What started as Train Your Brain — a homework helper for our own kids — quickly became something bigger. Other families found it. Then teachers started asking if their classrooms could use it. Then schools.

We built classroom tools, free spelling tests that anyone could use, a story platform where kids choose what happens next, and a gamification system that actually motivates learners to come back. Train Your Brain was approved by Step Up For Students, the nation's largest school choice scholarship organization serving over 500,000 students.

Today

A learning lab, not just an app

TYB.AI is now a learning lab that builds multiple products under one roof. Each one solves a specific problem for a specific audience — but they all share the same platform and the same belief that learning should be engaging, effective, and accessible.

We serve learners across five continents, support 21+ languages, and are actively partnering with schools around the world. Our free spelling tests alone bring in new users every day through organic search — people who discover one tool and then find an entire platform behind it.

Build things that work

We are a small team that ships fast. We do not build features to check boxes — we build them because a student, parent, or teacher told us they needed it. Every product in our lab exists because someone had a real problem and we had the tools to solve it. That has not changed since the kitchen table.
