The cube breeze answered first. A gentle whoosh, like a yes.

Harper took a deep breath and stepped forward. One toe… then a whole foot… then—shoop—Harper slipped through the doorway and into the pixel house. Colors wrapped around like a soft blanket. The blocky bed, the square stars outside, the cozy campfire glow—all of it felt calm and kind. Harper flopped onto the cube pillow with a laugh.

For a little while, Harper explored: feeding pixel animals, placing bright blocks, building a tiny lantern that shone like a friendly moon. The world wasn’t just a game now. It was a place that remembered Harper’s touch.

When Harper finally stepped back into the bedroom, the tablet dimmed to a soft, steady glow. Onscreen, the pixel house door closed with a quiet click, like a promise: Anytime.

Harper smiled, warm and sure. Bedtime in the Pixel World was only just beginning.
