Percy lined up two plastic bags on the rooftop.

“SCIENCE RACE TIME!” he announced.

Parachute A had short strings and a tiny toy car. Parachute B had long strings and a tiny toy dinosaur.

He dragged them to the edge. Cars zoomed. Buses whooshed. Leaves did their fancy show-off twirl.

Percy fluffed his feathers. “In this corner… SHORT STRING SPEEDSTER!” he shouted. “And in this corner… LONG STRING FLOATY-SAURUS!”

He grabbed both toys in his wings. “Three… two… one… SUPER SCIENCE DROP!”

FWUMP-FWUMP! Both parachutes leapt into the air and tumbled down. One spun. One wobbled. Percy’s eyes went HUGE.

“WHICH ONE FALLS SLOWEST?!” he yelled, racing along the roof edge to watch. “This is the BEST. SCIENCE. EVER.”
