Keep it on your phone βAt midday the herd came to a river. They all stopped. The water was brown. Crocodiles live there. Some are very big. The animals were afraid.
Then one wildebeest jumped in. All the others followed. Water flew everywhere. Polly flew low over their backs. Her glasses got wet.
Not all the animals made it. The river took a few. Polly watched from a tree. This is how the river works. It has always been this way.
In the evening it was over. The wet animals ate grass again. The river was calm. Polly looked at the stars.
