On June the eighteenth, Canada won its first men's World Cup match. The game was at home, in the city of Vancouver. Canada played against Qatar and won by six goals to zero. It was a very big win for the team.

The fans were very happy and very loud. Many people waved red and white flags and sang together. The team played fast and scored many goals in front of the home crowd. Everybody wanted to see more.

A player named Jonathan David scored three goals in only one match. This is called a hat-trick, and it is not easy to do. For Canada, it was a wonderful day and a moment to remember for many years.
