On her last full day, Polly found people in the forest. In a small clearing was a quiet camp. A scientist sat among wires and microphones, with more microphones tied high in the trees. The scientist looked up, surprised and happy to see a small bird in round glasses on a branch, and then went back to work. This was the one human Polly would meet all week.
