Hunters of the Sky

Polly climbed to the edge of the mountain. Below her, the rock dropped straight down to the sea.

The warm air rose up the cliff. Polly opened her wings, and the wind lifted her high.

A big eagle floated beside her. It had a white belly. It did not flap its wings. It just rode the wind along the wall of rock.

Then a falcon dived past her, fast as a falling stone. Polly laughed and let the wind carry her higher.
