The Old Windmills

High on the flat top of the hills, Polly found a row of round stone towers.

They were old windmills. Today they have no roofs and no sails. They are just open towers with small windows.

Long ago, the strong wind turned them, and they ground wheat into flour for the town.

Polly looked closely at the stone. It was the same golden stone as the cave by the sea. She began to wonder.
