Grammar: בית־ספר (beit-sefer) is a compound masculine noun meaning “school.” With the definite article it becomes בית־הספר (beit ha-sefer). The preposition מִן + ה contracts to מִבֵּית־הַסֵּפֶר (mi-beit ha-sefer).
