The Clock Problem

The big clock breaks. Time goes wrong. Old people appear everywhere. New people appear too. The room is very loud. Václav is scared. His city looks different. Polly the bird helps him. She reads old papers. The papers show answers. Václav's grandfather wrote the answers. The clock needs new parts. Václav moves the parts. He puts them right. Polly watches him work. A bad woman comes. She wants old secrets. She wants gold things. Václav says no. The secrets are dangerous. Václav fixes the last part. The clock works again. The old people go away. The room is quiet now. The clock makes good sounds. Polly is happy. Václav smiles too. His grandfather was smart. The clock keeps the city safe. The sun comes up. The clock rings loud. Prague is safe now.
