Polly the parrot had just arrived in a charming village in Italy. The village was known for its colorful houses and delicious gelato. Polly perched on a fountain in the main square, listening to the lively chatter of people enjoying their afternoon.
Suddenly, Polly noticed a young boy named Luca sitting on a bench, looking puzzled. Polly flew over and landed beside him. "Hello, I'm Polly! What seems to be the problem?" Polly chirped. Luca held up an old, crumpled map. "I found this map in my grandfather's attic," he said. "But I can't understand all the words."
Polly examined the map closely. It was a treasure map with directions written in English and Italian. Some parts were faded, but Polly could still read them. "This looks like an adventure waiting to happen," Polly said excitedly. "Let's read it together!" Polly taught Luca some English words like "north," "river," and "mountain" as they deciphered the map.
The map led to a hidden spot in the village where an ancient olive tree grew. Under the tree, they found a small, rusty box. Inside were old coins and a note from Luca's grandfather. It told stories of his travels and adventures. Luca was thrilled to learn about his family's history.
"Thank you, Polly!" Luca said, smiling. "I learned so much today and had fun!" Polly waved a wing cheerfully, "Remember, every map is a chance to discover something new!" With that, Polly flapped her wings, ready for the next adventure.
