Por la mañana el mar estaba plano como el cristal. Polly volaba bajo sobre el agua. Sus alas casi la tocaban.

Entonces el agua cambió de color. Cerca de la arena era verde. Después era azul oscuro, muy oscuro. Parecía una línea en el mar.

¿Por qué? Bajo el agua hay un cañón gigante. Es el cañón submarino más grande de Europa. Empieza cerca de la playa y baja muy, muy profundo.

El cañón trae la fuerza de tormentas lejanas a esta playa. Esa tarde Polly vio finas líneas de olas en el mar. Los gigantes venían en camino.
